Mr. Sheff, as you may be aware, has what could humbly be called a way with words. He also has a very singular gift in his performing style.

Sometimes, with certain performers, you close your eyes and you can imagine they are singing about you; other times, it's as if they are singing directly to you. When Will Sheff sings, he is singing THROUGH you.

His lyrics, arrangements and vocal delivery, stripped bare of the backing of the band, become a force which seems to flow to—and from—each audience member. His songs emanate from that emotional space we all, instinctively, know.

His voice is universal; his show, an empathic experience.
